17-Year-Old Girl Seriously Injured in Crash

All it takes is one second of inattentive driving to lead to serious consequences.  Unfortunately, that point was reinforced recently when a 17-year-old Racine County girl suffered serious head injuries when the car in which she was a passenger was involved in a terrifying automobile accident.  The story was reported by The Journal Times.

“A 17-year-old Racine County girl suffered head injuries in a rollover crash Monday night and is being treated at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Racine County sheriff’s deputies said Tuesday.

The girl, whose identity has not yet been released, was a passenger in a car driven by her 16-year-old boyfriend, according to reports.

Deputies said the boy, a Waukesha County resident, was taken to Memorial Hospital of Burlington with less serious injuries.

Reports said the couple were traveling southbound on Highway 83 just south of Maple Road when the accident occurred. The driver reached down to grab a soda and the car drifted into the ditch. The car missed a pole and a tree but then struck a big boulder, causing the vehicle to go airborne.

The car flipped and landed on another boulder in a farm field, deputies said.”

This is a terrible story, and unfortunately not an altogether rare story.  If you or someone you love has been injured, contact the Racine personal injury lawyers at Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ® today to schedule a free initial consultation.
