Caledonia Considers Shared 911

Posted on Wednesday, August 12th, 2009 at 6:29 am

The Village of Caledonia has approved the exploration of consolidating 911 services with other municipalities. One possibility would be a joint 911 system for Caledonia, Mount Pleasant and Sturtevant.

The new system would be a huge update for all three municipalities. It would also be a great help to residents who use 911 services, allowing for better quality services and a possible shared Caledonia-Mount Pleasant police station.

Informed Consent

Posted on Tuesday, August 11th, 2009 at 1:58 am

When you go to the hospital or to your doctor, you should have full disclosure. Your health care provider must tell you everything that you need to know. This includes the risks of any procedures or medications you might undergo or use.

If a doctor does not explain the  risks involved in a procedure, you will not be able to make an informed decision about it. This often leads to terrible injuries and in some cases, the death of the patient.

If you or someone you know has been injured by this sort of negligence, contact the Racine lack of informed consent lawyers of Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ® at 800-242-2874.

Food Poisoning

Posted on Wednesday, August 5th, 2009 at 3:32 am

In the last year, several food product recalls have occurred because of contamination by E coli or salmonella. Unfortunately, these products find their way onto grocery store shelves all too often.

When this happens, consumers are put at risk of food poisoning. While some cases can be mild and result in one bad day of illness, other cases can cause serious injury to the consumer and can even kill.

Keeping Students Safe

Posted on Monday, August 3rd, 2009 at 6:25 am

When students live within a two mile radius of their school, the bus is not obligated to transport them. For some families, this means that the student has to walk to and from school every day without adult supervision.

Fortunately, there are steps that can be taken to protect the children. Foremost among these steps is using groups. If students walk to school with other children from their area, they will be a little safer. It is even better when an adult chaperone can accompany them, but this is not always possible.

If your child has been injured in some way, contact the Racine child injury attorneys of Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ® at 800-242-2874.
