The risk of doing your own car repairs

by Administrator 30. October 2009 01:09

In order to save on expenses, many people prefer to do their own car repairs. However, if the car repairs are done improperly, then this may increase the risk of accidents.

For instance, if the hydraulic system in a car has a glitch, many people will attempt to fix the associated problem. However, repairing hydraulic systems often requires expertise and experience. If the repair is not done correctly, then the repair could lean to further problems, such as air bubbles in the hydraulic system.

These problems may cause the hydraulic system break down, which could cause a driver to lose control of a car and lead to a serious accident.

The dangers of driving ATVs

by Administrator 19. October 2009 05:40

While all-terrain vehicles are fun and useful in off-road conditions, they are inherently dangerous to both drivers and riders. Because of their unstable design and heavy weight, ATVs pose serious risk of injuries to both drivers and passengers.

According to figures released by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, the number of annual ATV accidents rose nearly 180 percent between 1995 and 2004. These accidents included serious injuries to both children and adults who incurred tens of thousands of dollars in medical expenses.

How broken blinkers can increase the risk of car accidents

by Administrator 15. October 2009 05:57

When driving down the road, people are sometimes pulled over and have no idea what they have done wrong. In some circumstances, the driver's blinkers are not working, and the police give the driver a citation or warning.

While some people consider broken blinkers to be a minor problem, blinkers are one of the many devices installed on cars to ensure drivers' safety. When they do not work properly, other drivers may not be aware that a driver is about to turn, which may lead to a serious accident. In such cases, the driver who knowingly drove with broken blinkers may be liable for damages.

If you have been injured in a car accident related to broken blinkers, contact the Racine car accident attorneys of Habush, Habush, & Rottier, S.C., at 800-242-2874.
