Houseguest’s Dog Attacks Individual, Homeowner Found Liable

A Wisconsin homeowner who allowed a man and his dogs to live in her home has been found liable for injuries caused in an animal attack.  A neighbor was seriously injured when the dogs escaped the control of their owner and attacked her, causing serious bite wounds and other health problems.

In a unanimous ruling, the Wisconsin Supreme Court decided that the homeowner is liable for the attack because her actions constituted "harboring" the animals.
