Is it important to include witnesses in a personal injury case?

by Administrator 26. January 2010 05:12

In a personal injury case, any evidence that can support a case is usually important to the case. This includes the testimony of witnesses who may have seen the accident occur.

For instance, when a car accident occurs, usually there are a number of witnesses not involved in the accident. Their testimony may be helpful, especially if both parties disagree about what actually took place.

If you or anyone you know has questions about a personal injury claim, contact the Racine personal injury lawyers of Habush, Habush, & Rottier, S.C., at 800-242-2874.

What should you do with your vehicle after a car accident?

by Administrator 11. January 2010 05:27

After a car accident, individuals are usually unsure what to do with their car. In some cases, individuals can handle the damages through their or the other drivers' insurance company.

Insurance companies will typically compensate drivers for an amount that is equal the fair market value of the car before the accident. If the compensation is greater than the amount that it costs to repair the car, then the individual may be taxed on the extra amount.

If you or anyone you know has questions about your car accident, contact the Racine car accident attorneys of Habush, Habush, & Rottier, S.C., at 800-242-2874.

Should you talk with an attorney before your insurance company?

by Administrator 4. January 2010 05:42

When individuals are injured in a car accident, they often are unsure which step to take first. In many cases, individuals should contact a lawyer before contacting their insurance company or the other party's insurance company.

Contacting a lawyer before the insurance company will help ensure that the insurance company does not try to limit the coverage amount. These limits are often imposed because of legal technicalities that lawyers are best fit to handle.
