How to prevent car accidents at busy interchanges

by Administrator 25. February 2010 04:51

Many of the country's most damaging accidents occur at busy interchanges. These accidents are typically so damaging because of the number of cars traveling at high speeds.

To avoid these accidents, drivers should try to avoid busy interchanges during times of peak traffic. Also, they can reduce their chances of being involved in these accidents by keeping a safe distance from the car in front of them.

If you or anyone you know has been injured in a car accident, contact the Racine car accident attorneys of Habush, Habush, & Rottier, S.C., at 800-242-2874.

How to avoid rear-end accidents

by Administrator 19. February 2010 05:41

Rear-end accidents occur when one car hits the rear of another vehicle. In most cases, the driver of the trailing car is responsible for any injuries or damages.

To avoid such accidents, drivers should take a number of steps. First, they should be aware of traffic in all directions. Second, they should ensure that there is considerable space between them and the driver in front. And third, they should routinely check their brakes.

If you have been injured in a rear-end collision, contact the Racine car accident attorneys of Habush, Habush, & Rottier, S.C., at 800-242-2874.

Injuries caused by road hazards

by Administrator 19. February 2010 05:37

While city and state governments pour countless resources into keeping the roads clean, almost all roads across the country are plagued by certain hazards. These hazarads can include pot holes, debris, or fallen trees.

When these hazards cause accidents that lead to serious injuries, the injured parties often want to seek damages. Whether or not they can seek damages against the state or another party, however, often depends on the nature of the hazard. If the hazard was not cleared or fixed due to neglect or recklessness, then the injured party may have a case.

If you have been injured in an accident due to an unmarked hazard, contact the Raince personal injury lawyers of Habush, Habush, & Rottier, S.C., at 800-242-2874.

What is medical abandonment?

by Administrator 12. February 2010 07:18

Medical abandonment occurs when doctors terminate their relationships with patients illegally. For patients to prove medical abandonment, they must often show that two events occurred.

One, before the termination, the doctor was treating the patient and had a duty to continue. If this is shown, then the patient must also show that the treatment was terminated before completion.

If you have questions about your medical abandonment case, contact the Racine medical malpractice lawyers of Habush, Habush, & Rottier, S.C., at 800-242-2874.

The driving dangers of taking drugs that make you drowsy

by Administrator 2. February 2010 04:42

Many over-the-counter and prescription drugs have the side effect of making users drowsy. This side effect will often make individuals tired and slow down their reaction time behind the wheel.

If the drug indirectly impairs drivers' ability in car accidents, then the drug manufacturer is typically not held responsible. Drug manufacturers usually escape liability because users are supposed to be aware of any known side effects, which are usually posted on the medicine's bottle.

If you or anyone you know has been injured by an impaired drunk driver, contact the Racine personal injury lawyers of Habush, Habush, & Rottier, S.C., at 800-242-2874.
