The dangers of horseback riding

Posted on Friday, April 16th, 2010 at 4:06 am

As the weather becomes warmer, more people are going outside for recreational activities. One popular activity is to go horseback riding.

While riding these animals is a popular form of recreation, horses also present a risk of serious injuries. Individuals on horses can be thrown from the animals or hit by their hooves. For this reason, people should use caution when riding horses.

When individuals are injured by horses, they may have a case against the owner of the horse or the business that owns the stable, especially if the horse was previously known to be dangerous to riders.

The dangers of texting while driving in Wisconsin

Posted on Thursday, April 15th, 2010 at 2:59 am

In Wisconsin, there currently are no bans on texting while driving. However, that does not mean that texting while driving is a safe activity.

As numerous studies have shown, texting while driving significantly increases the chance that drivers will be involved in serious accidents. For that reason, many states have passed laws that either restrict or ban the use of cell phones while driving. The issue has been raised among Wisconsin lawmakers, but no formal law has been passed.
