According to police, a man was found dead on Monday following a single-vehicle accident wherein his car swerved off Green Bay Road in Pleasant Prairie.
A passing driver called in the crash around 1:07 PM Monday. The caller said they had seen a crumpled car about 25 yards into the woods, away from the road, near Springbrook Road.
Paramedics arriving at the scene pronounced the 27-year-old driver dead. The car had knocked down a number of small trees, which served as a pseudo-ramp to flip the car upside down.
Friends and family say that the driver was headed to Kenosha at the time of the crash.
Police believe that speeding was a factor in the accident and are currently investigating to determine any other possible causes.
