The Racine County Sheriff’s Department reports that a 16-year-old Kenosha girl was killed last
week in a speeding
related single-vehicle crash.

Authorities responded around 1:16 AM Sunday to witness reports of a car crashed
into a tree near the 3500 block of Taylor
Avenue, at Elm Tree Court.

A 16-year-old girl was killed in the crash and the 18-year-old male driver of
the vehicle critically injured. Both were extricated by the South Shore
rescue unit.

Emergency personnel pronounced the girl dead at the scene. The male was taken
to Froedtert Hostpial in Wauwatosa
where he remains.

The Sheriff’s Department believes speeding was responsible for the accident
and have not yet determined if alcohol was involved.
