Professional stunt motorcycle rider, Jim “The Real Deal” McNeil, died on Sunday of blunt force trauma to his chest and neck following a crash.
McNeil was performing a practice jump at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth when his motorcycle suffered mechanical failure and caused him to miss his landing. His chest hit the handlebars and then was hit again on the ramp. He was wearing all of his protective gear at the time of the accident.
McNeil was a professional and on the Boost Mobile sponsored FMX team for seven years. He also competed in five X-Games in his career.
Our deepest sympathies are with the friends and family of the victim.
