Posted under Racine medical malpractice attorneys

Two parents from Argentina plan on filing a medical malpractice lawsuit against the hospital and doctors who wrongly declared their newborn baby dead. The mother says staff declared the infant stillborn 20 minutes after delivery, but she and her husband found their daughter alive when went to see her in the morgue.

The family says it has many unanswered questions regarding the handling of the baby and the mother’s treatment prior to delivery. They also say the hospital did not let them see her in the morgue until 12 hours after she was born.

The newborn is currently in the neonatal intensive care unit in critical condition, but family says she is improving. They have named her Luz Milagro, or Miracle Light.
