Approximately 7,600 2013 Ford Escapes are being recalled by the automaker for an engine leak that could lead to a fire. According to the Washington Post, an error could cause coolant to leak and make the engine overheat.
Ford issued the recall after it received one report of a fire breaking out. An employee was driving the SUV at a dealership when the engine suddenly caught on fire. No one was injured.
This is the third recall in two months for the new Ford Escapes. About 11,500 were recalled in July to fix another leak that could cause a fire and 10,000 SUVs were recalled by Ford to fix a possible brake problem.
