A man from Racine, Wisconsin, identified by police authorities as 56-year-old Derick D. Bostick, died in a five-vehicle accident on Thursday, November 7 on a highway in Tennessee.
Bostik had been driving down the middle of Marshall County’s Interstate 65 when he suddenly stopped his Ford Taurus in the middle of the southbound lanes and stood beside the car, according to the preliminary accident report given to The Journal Times by Tennessee Highway Patrol officials.
Two semis clipped his car’s rear bumper and rear-ended his car. A Chrysler sedan, the fourth vehicle to pass the road, tried to avoid hitting Bostik but hit the trailer of one of the semis that passed. A van that followed the sedan ran over Bostik.
The other people involved in the multi-vehicle accident, which included Bostick’s 57-year-old passenger, John L. Hickman, were unharmed.
Losing a loved one in any circumstances is extremely difficult, and our team at Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. sends their deepest condolences to the family and friends of Bostick.
