Single-engine plane crash injures pilot

by Administrator 21. May 2010 02:52

A Wisconsin man was injured last week after crash landing into a farm field in Sheboygan Falls.

The pilot reported that he was experiencing engine trouble and attempted to redirect the plane back to the airport runway, but crashed during his return trip. The impact of the crash caused the single-engine aircraft to flip over with the pilot still inside. He survived the crash with minor injuries.

Mechanical failures and other product defects can be especially dangerous when one is piloting a plane or other vehicle. If you or someone you know has been hurt in an accident caused by a product defect, you may have grounds to initiate a lawsuit to recover compensation for your injuries and damages.

The requirement for companies to put warnings on products

by Administrator 9. November 2009 07:31

Manufacturers are required to put warnings on their products. These warnings are intended to caution product users of any known and significant risks associated with the product.

For instance, many house cleaning products contain warnings cautioning users not to ingest or inhale the product. If such warnings are not found on products with knowable dangers, then the product manufacturer or distributor may be liable for damages.

If you or anyone you know has been injured by a product without proper warning, contact the Racine products liability lawyers of Habush, Habush, & Rottier, S.C., at 800-242-2874.

Food Poisoning

by Administrator 5. August 2009 03:32

In the last year, several food product recalls have occurred because of contamination by E coli or salmonella. Unfortunately, these products find their way onto grocery store shelves all too often.

When this happens, consumers are put at risk of food poisoning. While some cases can be mild and result in one bad day of illness, other cases can cause serious injury to the consumer and can even kill.

If you or someone you know has been a victim of food poisoning, contact the Racine food poisoning lawyers of Habush Habush & Rottier, SC at 800-242-2874.

Milwaukee Home Blaze Caused by Dryer

by Administrator 19. March 2009 04:14

A dryer is the apparent culprit in a northside Milwaukee house fire that broke out early Wednesday evening, displacing five residents.

According to the Milwaukee Fire Department, the dryer overheated and ignited the clothes inside, causing a blaze that spread from the basement to the first floor and resulted in $17,000 in damages.

25 firefighters responded to the call around 7:00 P.M., and were on the scene for over an hour. Although there were no smoke detectors in the house, the family escaped without injury after smelling smoke.

Defective household products account for thousands of fires every year, with devastating costs in human life and property damage. If you or someone you know has been affected by a house fire caused by a defective appliance, contact the Racine products liability lawyers of Habush, Habush & Rottier, SC at 800-242-2874.

Girls Beware of Manicure Kits and Lipstick

by Administrator 28. January 2009 05:01
There has been a voluntary recall of manicure kits and lipstick. More specifically, if you have recently purchased a manicure kit that promotes the popular TV Show, "High School Musical," or a key chain that sports a dangling, Wet 'n' Wild-brand lip gloss, you are endangering yourself to exposure of excess amounts of lead. The U.S. Consumer Produce Safety Commission announced that both products needed to be pulled off of the shelves of Rite-Aid, Wal-mart and Kmart, where the products are concentrated the most.  The manicure kit comes with a glittered pouch, which is the toxic part of the kit.  All other parts of the kit are safe. If you or someone you know have been exposed to a product that had since been recalled, please contact your Racine products liablity lawyer at 800-242-2874 for further information.

Hotel Denies Liability in CO Death Lawsuit, Blames Co-Defendants

by Administrator 18. April 2008 02:04
Bay Shore Development Corp., the owners of the Ocean City hotel where a father and daughter died of carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning in June 2006, filed a formal response to a lawsuit brought by the family of the deceased, denying any liability on its part and pushing the blame onto its co-defendants. Bay Shore asserts that any responsibility should rest with All About Plumbing, Heat Transfer Products, or R.E. Michel, its co-defendants in the case. It claims that the CO leak was caused by defective devices and maintenance on the part of these other companies, and seeks to clear itself of all wrongdoing. If you or someone you love has been injured due to another person or company's negligence, don't hesitate to call  262-554-6200 and speak with a Racine personal injury lawyer at Habush, Habush, & Rottier, S.C.
