The dangers of driving ATVs

by Administrator 19. October 2009 05:40

While all-terrain vehicles are fun and useful in off-road conditions, they are inherently dangerous to both drivers and riders. Because of their unstable design and heavy weight, ATVs pose serious risk of injuries to both drivers and passengers.

According to figures released by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, the number of annual ATV accidents rose nearly 180 percent between 1995 and 2004. These accidents included serious injuries to both children and adults who incurred tens of thousands of dollars in medical expenses.
