This week, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Ariens Company issued a voluntary product recall of the SnoThro 30LE Deluxe. The recall involves an estimated 1,040 snow throwers.
Ariens Company, the Wisconsin-based snow thrower producer, has not received any official reports of injury from their product. However, officials indicate that individuals using the SnowThrow 30LE Deluxe could be at risk of injuring their hand or fingers if they attempt to clear the discharge chute while the snow thrower is turned on.
The snow thrower is described as being orange and black and has an Ariens icon on the front of the control panel. The product's model number is 921020 and is located on a label near the rear right tire.
