Walmart's Great Value chicken noodle soup was recalled on Monday after it was found that the cans of soup contained a soup other than chicken noodle that contained milk.
The recall was issued by the soups' manufacturer, Bay Valley Foods LLC, after a consumer informed the company that cream of chicken soup was in the can, rather than chicken noodle. The recall was nationwide and involved the recall of millions of cans of soup that were distributed in September 2010.
Walmart and its affiliated companies are worried that someone with a milk allergy may accidentally consume the mislabeled soup. They have advised anyone with an allergy to milk to return the cans of soup to Walmart for a full refund.
