A resident at a nursing home has filed a lawsuit against the facility after she says an employee sexually assault her in 2009.
The 63 year-old woman suffers from a condition that limits her ability to communicate, called expressive aphasia. Although the 50 year-old employee was found not guilty of sexual assault after a two-day trial, her and her lawyer claim that does not prove the facility and the owner are without accountability.
The owner and the nursing home are both facing charges of neglect, violating state regulation and the Consumer Protect Act, and breach of contract.
