On Saturday October 26, 26-year-old Twin Lakes resident, Aaron Stoen, was held in the custody of the Lake County police for charges of reckless homicide and other violations relating to a pedestrian accident. The accident occurred the previous day in Waukegan around 12:30 p.m.
According to the police, Stoen admitted to injecting himself with heroin before driving his vehicle. He was driving alone when the accident occurred.
While one man is recuperating, another man suffered fatal injuries from the car accident. The identities of the two victims are currently being withheld by authorities.
Stoen is facing two counts of aggravated driving under the influence. He was fixed with a $500,000 bond and is scheduled to make an appearance in court on November 15.
